@ The Library
Coinciding with the school’s 125th Anniversary, the library is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary!
With the support of the P&C the library building was officially opened on 2nd August 1975 and has continued to be a hub of the school, much used and loved by students and staff.
To celebrate both these occasions, we are hosting a Bookstall at the 125th Anniversary Celebrations on Saturday 26th July. This is to enable past and present community members to purchase books to donate to the school, commemorating their relationship with Kenmore State School over the years. A label to affix inside the cover of the book will be available to record family name and a Community Connection message:
It will be a wonderful record to share with future students.
The Bookstall will be in Amos Hall and open from 3:15 until 5pm. Books can also be purchased to take home.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Students will be bringing home Issue 5 of the Scholastic Book Club.
Orders are due by Friday 1st August 2025.
There are two ways to order/pay:
- Credit Card: To pay by credit card, visit scholastic.com.au/LOOP or download the LOOP app. Your order will be electronically linked to the rest of the school’s order.
- Cash: Please enclose cash with completed order form and return to school library
Your orders are very much appreciated as each order earns the school points towards buying new resources.
If you have any queries or require additional copies of the Book Club, then please contact Mrs Caskie in the library or email to gcask1@eq.edu.au
Many thanks.
Fantastic reading so far with over 90 completed Reading Logs already returned. That means over 2250 books have been read so far! Still plenty of time to complete the challenge before the reading period concludes on Friday 22nd August.
Extra reading logs can be collected from Mrs Caskie in the library.
Did you know that books read on the SORA app can also be recorded on the Premier’s Reading Challenge Reading Log? Students need to log in with their MIS-ID and search for Education Queensland. Their MIS-ID is their school login but if they are unsure of this then please email class teacher or Mrs Caskie in the library gcask1@eq.edu.au
Happy reading!
